Job summary

KBR in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Primary Engineer to lead HV substation designs on major transport and energy projects. You will deliver layouts, equipment specifications and GA drawings while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the national Power group.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, supporting bid development and ensuring compliance with rail, utilities and DNSP standards. Chartered status is desirable or progression toward CPEng / RPEQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status desirable or progression toward professional accreditation.
• Experience delivering HV substation primary engineering in consulting, rail or utilities.
• Strong design, coordination and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HV substation primary designs (11kV–220kV+) and GA drawings.
• Coordinate with design, clients and utilities during project phases.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Assist bid development and continuous improvement of standards.
