Job summary

Ampcontrol's High Voltage Field Service team in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Protection Testing Technician to deliver protection testing, commissioning and maintenance across mining, utilities and infrastructure projects.

You'll install, test and commission HV protection systems, perform fault-finding, prepare test plans and documentation, and support clients with expert technical guidance on site.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification is required.
• HV protection system experience essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Safety and quality compliance critical to field work.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission HV protection systems.
• Perform routine testing, maintenance and fault-finding on HV relays and control systems.
• Conduct protection relay testing using standard equipment.
• Prepare test plans, risk assessments and commissioning documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers and team members.
• Travel to customer sites across Queensland and interstate as required.
