Ampcontrol's High Voltage Field Service team in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Protection Testing Technician to deliver protection testing, commissioning and maintenance services across mining, utilities, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

You will install and test HV protection systems, diagnose faults, prepare documentation, and provide technical support while travel to sites across Queensland and interstate.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification required.
• Experience with HV protection systems and infrastructure.
• Experience testing/commissioning/maintaining protection relays and control systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and protection drawings.
• HV Switching Operations certification.
• Current LV Rescue and CPR qualifications.
• Commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across Queensland and interstate.

Responsabilités

• Install, test and commission HV protection systems and equipment.
• Perform routine testing, maintenance and fault-finding on HV protection relays and control systems.
• Conduct protection relay testing using industry-standard equipment.
• Prepare test plans, risk assessments, reports and commissioning documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve faults within protection systems and infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and team members.
• Assist with project planning, coordination and execution activities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery.
• Ensure all testing and commissioning activities comply with standards and quality requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, processes and technical documentation.
