Job summary

Ampcontrol in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Protection Testing Technician to deliver protection testing, commissioning and maintenance services across mining, utilities and infrastructure sectors. You will install, test, and commission HV protection systems, diagnose faults and support customers on site.

The role requires HV protection experience, electrical trade qualification and HV switching certification, with travel to customer sites across Queensland and interstate.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with HV experience.
• Proven ability to test, commission and maintain HV protection relays.
• Ability to interpret schematics and protection drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission HV protection systems.
• Perform routine testing, maintenance and fault-finding on HV protection relays.
• Prepare test plans, risk assessments and commissioning documentation.
• Diagnose faults and provide technical customer support.
• Travel to customer sites as required across Queensland and interstate.
