Job summary

Perdaman Engineering And Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced HV Power Systems Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high-voltage power solutions for mining, utilities, and renewable energy projects.

You will conduct network analysis, perform power systems modelling with DigSilent PowerFactory and ETAP, and design HV substations and lines for diverse brownfield and greenfield sites. Travel to sites will be required to engage with clients and drive project success.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with specialised power engineering qualifications highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in analysis and design of HV power systems, including powerlines and substations.
• Proven expertise in specialised network analysis and performance standard studies to meet industry benchmarks.
• Proficiency in power systems modelling packages such as DigSilent PowerFactory and ETAP.
• Experience on greenfield and brownfield projects across mining, utilities and renewable energy sectors.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities; capable of driving project delivery.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of HV power systems solutions for mining, utilities and renewable energy projects.
• Conduct specialised network analysis and performance standard studies to meet industry compliance requirements.
• Undertake power systems modelling and analysis using DigSilent PowerFactory and ETAP software packages.
• Design HV substations and powerlines for greenfield and brownfield projects across the resources sector.
• Prepare and evaluate technical tenders and proposals for power systems projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the power systems engineering team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, instrumentation and controls engineers.
• Manage project deliverables and ensure alignment with client requirements and timelines.
• Travel to project sites as required to support design implementation and client engagement.
