Job summary

BG&E, now part of the SYSTRA Group, seeks an experienced HSEQ Advisor to drive safety and quality culture across NSW and NZ. You will report to the Global HSEQ Manager with a local secondary reporting line to the NSW Geographical Director.

You will lead IMS improvement, mentor staff, conduct audits, support ISO certifications (9001, 14001, 45001), incident investigations, and maintain emergency and business continuity plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, OHS or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years’ experience delivering engineering/construction projects with reporting, auditing and quality controls.
• Knowledge of current WHS/Environmental legislation and standards in NSW.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME, coach teams to foster HSEQ culture and risk-based decision-making.
• Improve the IMS by identifying trends and providing compliance reporting to Regional Leads.
• Assist project teams with Management Plans and safety design/risk workshops; manage documentation.
• Conduct internal audits, office inspections and ISO audits (9001/14001/45001).
• Support incident investigations (ICAM) and track corrective actions.
• Maintain Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plans and First Aid requirements.
• Design, maintain and audit safety management systems; implement improvements.
