Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking an experienced Program HSE Manager to lead SH&E across a flagship Royal Australian Navy sustainment program in Henderson, WA. You will drive safety performance, investigations, audits and training, while developing a high-performing HSE team and shaping a strong safety culture.

Work closely with senior stakeholders, customers and frontline teams to ensure regulatory compliance, risk management and continuous improvement in a national-scale defence program.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship with Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain.
• Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety and Environment or Occupational Health and Safety.
• Safety Investigation qualifications such as ICAM.
• Lead Auditor qualifications for ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 with internal and supplier audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead SH&E across a complex marine program and drive safety outcomes.
• Provide strategic leadership across risk management, investigations, audits and training.
• Develop and coach a high-performing HSE team and build a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with WH&S legislation and organisational requirements.
