Job summary

FedEx Australia is seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Dangerous Goods (HSE & DG) Specialist based at the Melbourne Airport station. You will lead safety compliance, guide HSE initiatives, and mentor managers to embed a "Safety Above All" culture across operations.

You will collaborate with leadership, manage audits and incident investigations, and deliver training while ensuring regulatory compliance and ongoing ISO certifications. A strong background in HVNL and CoR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years HSE experience.
• Certificate 4 in WHS or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Lead Incident Investigator expertise (ICAM qualified or equivalent).
• Proficiency in ISO standards 14001, 45001, and 9001.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Leadership to design key HSE initiatives.
• Provide guidance during audits, incident investigations and training.
• Coach managers in safety planning and reporting.
• Monitor risk assessments, environmental impact and inspections.
• Lead major risk assessments and ICAM investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Engage stakeholders on HVNL, CoR and DG.
• Educate leaders and frontline teams on WHS and DG.
• Support stations during audits and maintain ISO certifications.
