Job summary

UGL Pty Limited is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor for a solar farm FIFO operation near Mount Isa. This hands-on, site-based role partners with project leaders to manage risk and uphold safety.

You will coach HSE teams, lead investigations, audits and safety initiatives across civil, electrical, HV and commissioning works, and travel to Mount Isa from Brisbane for early flights.

FIFO 10/4 roster; Certificate IV in WHS or Diploma required; relocation and career development opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Senior HSE Advisor role on renewable energy projects.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to positively influence people at all levels.
• Experience leading investigations, managing risk and driving safety improvement initiatives.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, Diploma or equivalent safety qualification.
• A practical, down-to-earth approach to safety and a genuine passion for supporting people in the field.
• Willingness to FIFO on a 10/4 roster and be able to travel via Brisbane for early flights to Mount Isa.

Responsibilities

• Support project leaders, supervisors and crews to manage risk and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Coach and mentor HSE Advisors and operational teams across a range of construction activities.
• Lead investigations, risk reviews, audits and site inspections to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build positive relationships across the workforce and drive engagement in safety initiatives.
• Provide practical advice and support to ensure compliance with project, client and legislative requirement.
