Job summary

Consulting Services is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support the senior leadership team on a 6‑12 month contract in Mascot, Sydney. You will partner with leaders and shape workforce solutions in a blue‑collar environment.

Responsibilities include organisational design, workforce planning, position descriptions, ER/IR matters, and change management. You will drive recruitment and policy development while guiding stakeholders through employment legislation and awards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as HRBP/Senior HR Advisor or equivalent.
• Strong Employee Relations and Industrial Relations capability.
• Blue Collar industry experience, ideally in transport/logistics/warehousing.
• Experience managing complex workplace matters and investigations.
• Proven experience in organisational design, workforce planning and restructures.
• Experience developing and reviewing position descriptions.
• Knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting leaders through change and workforce challenges.
• Hands-on approach across all facets of HR.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic HR partnering and workforce solutions to leaders and stakeholders.
• Supporting organisational design, workforce planning and position creation.
• Developing and reviewing position descriptions and supporting role redesign initiatives.
• Managing employee relations matters including performance management, investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Providing industrial relations advice, including interpretation of Awards, Agreements and employment legislation.
• Coaching and advising leaders on effective people management and leadership practices.
• Supporting organisational change initiatives and workforce transitions.
• Leading and supporting recruitment and talent acquisition activities when required.
• Developing HR policies, procedures and people-focused initiatives aligned to organisational objectives.
• Analysing workforce data and trends to support evidence-based decision making.
• Delivering support across the full employee lifecycle from attraction and onboarding through to development, retention and separation.
