Job Description

The successful candidate will deliver high quality HR consultancy services to regional managers and staff by providing expert advice on a wide range of issues, including performance management, recruitment and selection, establishment management, employee relations, employment conditions, payroll, staff absence management, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination practices, reporting, and organisational change initiatives.

  • Develop and implement contemporary, best practice HR management systems and processes, in accordance with relevant legislation and QAS strategic priorities and business objectives.
  • Ensure the region maintains an appropriately resourced and skilled workforce through the analysis of workforce data and trends, in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Review and analyse monthly HR reports to identify trends and provide options and solutions for HR matters including workforce planning and absence management.
  • Coordinate local regional recruitment and selection processes in consultation with relevant internal and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and directives.
  • Assist and support the Head Office HR Branch with coordination activities regarding centralised recruitment campaigns.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current HR legislation, awards, certified agreements, directives, policies and procedures and provide accurate and timely advice on employee relations matters.
  • Provide advice, support and strategies to regional management in relation to the performance management of staff in line with HR policy and procedure.
  • Negotiate and problem-solve to maintain positive employee relations in a complex operational environment, including dispute resolution and complaint management.
