Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for the Central and North Queensland Capital Works Team. This full-time 2-year contract is based in Rockhampton and reports to the Projects Director.

The role focuses on capital works in a live health environment with mentoring of a dedicated team. Ideal candidates hold a tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering or project management and have 7+ years of capital works experience, plus demonstrated

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering or project management.
• 7+ years’ experience managing a portfolio of capital works projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholder groups.
• Experience managing healthcare projects in a live 24/7 environment (preferred).
• Advanced report and briefing skills; strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of planning and delivering major capital works projects.
• Ensure projects meet quality, time and budget parameters.
• Act as the Mater representative through each project phase.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team.
• Process progress claims and variations with the Project Director.
• Monitor design consultants to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Advise clients, consultants and contractors with technical guidance.
• Maintain clear dialogue with clients about scope, program and budget.
• Develop and execute the complete project plan across all facets.
• Conduct post-project and post-occupancy reviews.
