Job summary

Talent International is assisting a leading Australian entertainment organisation in Sydney to recruit a Group Manager, Corporate Risk Advisory & Controls. The role combines strategic risk leadership with hands-on delivery and two-person team management, reporting to the Head of Risk Advisory, Governance & Assurance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience across risk management, compliance, governance, controls within a complex organisation.
• Strong Line 1 risk advisory and controls experience.
• Experience partnering with senior executives and Board reporting.
• Consulting or Big Four experience is preferred for Senior Manager/Director level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and ongoing improvement of Line 1 corporate risk advisory and controls activities across the organisation.
• Act as a trusted risk advisor to senior business leaders, providing strategic advice across operational, regulatory, strategic and technology risks.
• Lead the controls testing program, assessing design and operating effectiveness.
• Provide independent risk oversight across major initiatives and change lifecycle.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen risk management capability, governance, risk culture and control effectiveness.
• Oversee risk assessments, remediation activities and the management of material and emerging risks.
• Prepare and present risk and compliance reporting to senior management, risk committees and the Board.
• Lead and develop a small team of two, while remaining hands on in the delivery of key risk initiatives.
