Job summary

Woolworths Group in New South Wales is seeking a Senior Group Accountant for a 12-month parental leave cover within our finance function. You will shape the Group's half-year and annual financial reporting and interact with executive leadership.

You will bring CA/CPA with 4–6 years experience in Big 4, large ASX-listed entities, or FMCG/retail, plus advanced Excel and ERP knowledge (SAP/OneStream). This role offers flexible workplace arrangements and exposure to Board-level reporting.

Qualifications

CA/CPA qualification with 4–6 years of experience.
Experience in Big 4, large ASX-listed entities, or FMCG/retail.
Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the drafting, editing, and finalisation of the Group’s half-year and annual Financial Reports.
Prepare high-profile profit announcements, analyst presentations, and core performance metrics.
Conduct detailed Financial Statement Analysis across P&L and Balance Sheet items.
Draft executive-level finance papers and technical reports for the CFO, Board, and Audit Committee.
Partner with business unit finance teams to guide compliance on accounting standards and disclosures.
Serve as a primary contact for external auditors during full-year and interim audits.
