NSW Health is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer (General Practice with Anaesthetics) to provide expert assessment and management of patients at Lithgow Hospital. The role is based in the Department of Anaesthesia within Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

Applicants should hold or be eligible for AHPRA registration and FRACGP/FACRRM with JCCA recognition, plus evidence of ongoing CME and teaching capability. This is a zero hour contract with quinquennium ending 30 June 2027.

Formación

• Possess or be eligible for full registration with AHPRA.
• FRACGP and/or FACRRM fellowship and JCCA recognition or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Evidence of CME and audit practices aligned with scope.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients at Lithgow Hospital.
• Demonstrate high standard professional behaviour to junior medical staff.
• Engage in quality assurance activities and continuing medical education.
• Teach and supervise junior medical staff within a multidisciplinary team.
• Work in accordance with NSW Health policies and anaesthesia department guidelines.
