Job summary

Woolpert in Australia seeks a Senior GIS Consultant to lead the design, configuration, deployment and support of geospatial solutions for clients. The role reports to the Director of GIS Professional Services Delivery and provides senior input into solution architecture and project delivery.

Based in Perth with hybrid working arrangements and relocation assistance available, you will contribute to pre-sales activities and continuous improvement while working across VertiGIS and Esri technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ GIS/spatial or related commercial experience.
• 3+ years’ experience with databases and cloud services.
• Proficient with at least one Esri technology (ArcGIS Server/Enterprise/Pro/Online).

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration and support of GIS solutions.
• Drive innovative use of spatial technologies.
• Improve performance and usability of geospatial solutions.
• Prepare deployment and administration documentation.
• Support customer opportunities and pre-sales demos.

Senior GIS Consultant

We are looking for a Senior GIS Consultant to join our high performing team. Reporting to the Director of GIS Professional Services Delivery, you will take a hands-on technical and consultative role, leading the design, configuration, deployment and support of geospatial solutions for Woolpert clients.

Working across the broader Digital Solutions teams, you will help deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget, while providing senior-level input into solution architecture, project delivery, client advice, pre-sales activities and continuous improvement.

This is a permanent full-time role with Woolpert with hybrid work arrangements based in Perth. Relocation assistance is offered.

You will be:

• Leading deployment, configuration and support of VertiGIS and ArcGIS solutions.
• Driving innovative use of spatial technologies
• Improving performance, usability and automation across solutions.
• Preparing technical documentation, including deployment and administration guides.
• Supporting customer opportunities, pre-sales demos and solution advice.
• Completing relevant industry certifications, such as Esri, Microsoft or Amazon.
• Travelling as required.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience, in computer science, software engineering, geomatics or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in GIS, spatial or related commercial roles.
• 3+ years’ experience working with databases and cloud services.
• Strong experience with at least one Esri technology, such as ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online.

With this role, the successful candidate must successfully pass pre-employment police background check as a condition of employment.
