Job summary

The Constructive Collective is seeking a senior geotechnical engineer to lead investigations, interpret subsurface data and provide design guidance for footings, slopes and drainage across greater Sydney and regional NSW.

You will supervise drilling, review junior staff work and build strong relationships with builders, developers and councils while advancing toward an Associate level as the team grows.

• Around 6+ years' experience in geotechnical consulting, ideally within NSW.
• Strong background in geotechnical investigations, site classifications and reporting.
• Experience with footing design, excavation support, retaining walls and slope stability assessments.
• Confident on site, comfortable supervising drilling and carrying out footing and excavation inspections.
• Solid working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (including AS 2870 and AS 1726).
• Clear technical writing and the ability to explain geotechnical risk to builders, developers and certifiers.
• CPEng or working towards it will be highly regarded.
• A current NSW driver's licence.

• Build strong relationships with builders, developers, architects and councils.
• Contribute to fee proposals and help shape how the team delivers its work.
