Job summary

EI Corporation Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead our Geotechnical team in Sydney. You will provide senior technical leadership, deliver complex projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development while mentoring a growing team.

The role requires a Civil/Geotechnical engineering degree, 10–15+ years’ Australian geotechnical consulting experience, CPEng eligibility or status, and full working rights in Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• 10–15+ years' experience in geotechnical consulting, with extensive Australian experience.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility.
• RPEQ, NER or equivalent registration, or be working towards registration.
• Strong project management and technical report writing skills.
• Proven client relationship and business development experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight across geotechnical investigations, analysis, design and reporting.
• Lead complex geotechnical investigation projects from planning through to delivery.
• Provide expert technical advice and innovative engineering solutions to clients and project teams.
• Review and approve geotechnical reports, designs and technical documentation.
• Manage projects from small through to large scale, including budgets, schedules, field personnel and client liaison.
• Coordinate field investigations, laboratory testing and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare fee proposals, tender submissions and technical presentations.
• Mentor and develop geotechnical engineers and support the growth of the Geotechnical Group.

Key responsibilities
