Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District seeks a Staff Specialist or VMO Physician to deliver contemporary Specialist General Physician services in Moruya. You will contribute to training registrars and junior medical officers while delivering high-quality patient care in a Level 4 region.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, uphold NSQHS standards, and participate in teaching, research and quality improvement activities. Applications close 4 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Physician or equivalent overseas qualification.
• Demonstrated current clinical experience in General/Acute/Internal Medicine at an appropriate Level 4 health service.
• Understanding of NSQHS standards and clinical governance principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist General Physician services for optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide and support training for registrars and junior medical officers to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
• We provide a range of elective and emergency medical services and related facilities.
