Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Staff Specialist or VMO - Specialist Anaesthetist for Moruya's Eurobodalla Regional Hospital. The role supports a 40-hour week with Part Time / Full Time options, in a hospital expanding services ahead of the 2027 opening.

Fellowship with FANZCA and AHPRA registration are essential, with leadership, teaching, and quality-improvement commitment expected. The position emphasises patient care and education in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Fellowship with ANZCA or equivalent overseas qualification eligible for expedited pathways.
• Registered or eligible for AHPRA registration.
• Current clinical anaesthesia experience at an appropriate level.
• Understanding of NSQHS standards and governance.
• Ability to lead in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to teaching, research, simulation and quality improvement.
• Strong communication skills with patients, colleagues and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide contemporary GP Anaesthetic services for optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide and support clinician training across disciplines.
• Contribute to education and safe clinical practice.
• Support the hospital's transition to higher level services by 2027.
