Job summary

DNEG is hiring a skilled FX TD in Sydney to build high-quality particle, pyro, and fluid simulations for feature animation. You will work with Build, Layout and Animation teams using Houdini, Python, and VEX, and collaborate across pipelines including Unreal Engine integration.

This role requires strong problem-solving and production pipeline understanding, with a hybrid office-based arrangement. We value experience on high-end projects, a proactive approach, and the ability to learn new tools

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on high-end feature animation projects.
• Proven experience creating effects (smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam and explosions) with particle/voxel rendering.
• Expert knowledge of Houdini and its simulation workflows.
• Programming or scripting skills, particularly Python and VEX.
• Experience with Unreal Engine workflows and Houdini-Unreal integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of production pipelines.
