Job summary

DNEG is seeking an experienced FX Supervisor in Sydney to lead the creative and technical design of effects within the FX Department. You will supervise and guide artists, ensure high-quality FX delivery within scope and bid days, and collaborate closely with Production to align with the approved direction.

Required expertise includes Houdini, Python scripting, VEX, and real-time VFX workflows, with experience integrating Houdini with Unreal.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of FX teams in feature animation/ VFX projects.
• Strong ability to translate creative direction into technically feasible FX.
• Excellent collaboration with Production and Lighting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day FX and CFX execution with creative and technical direction.
• Coordinate assignments, priorities and deliveries with Production.
• Manage scope and bid-day adherence, flag risks early to Production.
