Australian Ethical Investment Ltd in Melbourne seeks a Senior Fund Accountant – Superannuation to oversee APRA reporting, tax, accounting and regulatory compliance across our superannuation operations, focusing on risk controls and improvements.
You’ll partner with internal teams, fund administrators and custodians, contributing to annual reporting, product disclosures, and validating daily unit pricing and cash flows. 10+ years in the field and CA/CPA are preferred.
Australian Ethical is one of Australia’s fastest-growing super fund and ethical investment managers. We are ASX-listed with over $14 billion in funds under management and offer a selection of award-winning managed funds and superannuation products.
Our purpose is to invest for a better world, and we have been pioneers in this space for almost 40 years. For us, investing has two aims – generating solid financial returns and a positive impact for people, planet, and animals. At Australian Ethical, we prove that money can be a force for good. We do this by staying true to our purpose, which is embedded throughout our organisation and drives our everyday activities as a business, investor, brand, employer, and corporate citizen. We’re a registered B Corp and fully committed to an inclusive, equitable and forward-thinking workplace culture.
As Senior Fund Accountant – Superannuation, you’ll support financial reporting, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements across our superannuation operations, with a particular focus on APRA reporting. Reporting to the Fund Accounting Manager, you’ll work closely with internal teams, fund administrators and custodians to oversee critical accounting processes, strengthen controls and support business improvements and regulatory change. The role also offers exposure to our Managed Funds products and broader finance operations.
You’re an experienced superannuation fund accounting professional with hands‑on APRA reporting experience, strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and a practical approach to solving problems. You bring a curious mindset and a willingness to dig into the detail, along with strong organisation, planning and prioritisation skills to manage competing reporting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’re comfortable taking ownership and building effective relationships with internal teams and outsourced providers.
