Job summary

Intuitive Recruitment Pty is actively seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its finance team in Sydney. The role focuses on managing accounting and reporting for a portfolio of property funds and real assets, with exposure to acquisitions, valuations, distributions and investor reporting.

The successful candidate will have CA/CPA credentials and 3–6+ years’ fund accounting experience, especially in real estate funds or REIT structures, and strong Excel and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
• 3–6+ years' experience in fund accounting, real estate funds, or related reporting.
• Experience with unlisted property funds, REITs, or real assets is highly regarded.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with fund accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting and reporting requirements for a portfolio of property and real estate investment funds.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fund financial statements and management reports.
• Assist with fund consolidations, unit pricing, distributions, and investor reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and month-end reporting deliverables.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate external audit requirements.
• Work closely with asset managers and operational teams to ensure accurate fund and asset-level reporting.
• Assist with acquisitions, disposals, restructures, and other property-related transactions.
• Monitor fund performance, cash flows, and investment reporting metrics.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, trust structures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements across fund finance and reporting functions.
