Job summary

Capstone Recruitment represents a leading property group in Sydney seeking a CA/CPA qualified fund accounting professional. You will deliver timely month-end reporting, consolidated fund statements and IFRS reporting.

You will review accounts prepared by external managers, perform tax calculations and BAS work, and forecast cashflows for funds and projects. Strong technical accounting and stakeholder skills are essential. This is a technically hands-on, real-world role with career progression.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified is required.
• Strong technical accounting skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate month-end management accounts and consolidated fund reporting.
• Review property accounts prepared by external property manager.
• Provide technical accounting and tax advice for real estate transactions.
• Prepare quarterly unit price reporting to investors and annual statutory reports.
• Prepare tax calculations and working papers including BAS/tax distributions and other tax reporting.
• Assist with compliance, debt management and investment administration for funds and project entities.
• Cashflow forecasting for funds and projects.
• Process improvements and systems enhancements as required.

Job description

• Prior Property Fund Accounting experience is highly desirable
• Funds Management or financial services experience will also be considered
• $140-150K incl super + bonus level based on experience

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, your role will include:

• Deliver accurate and timely month end management accounts and consolidated fund reporting including posting journals, IFRS reporting, cost tracking and budget variance analysis
• Review and analyse property accounts prepared by external property manager
• Provide technical accounting and tax advice for real estate transactions
• Prepare quarterly unit price reporting to investors
• Prepare annual statutory reports
• Prepare tax calculations and working papers including BAS/tax distributions and other tax compliance matters including land tax, GST and general tax reporting
• Assist team with compliance, debt management and investment administration for funds and project entities
• Cashflow forecasting for funds and projects
• process improvements and systems enhancements as required
