Job summary

Perigon Group, a globally recognised property group, seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Sydney finance team and manage end-to-end financial accounting for a high value Australian property portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role involves month-end and year-end close, consolidations, budgeting support, and liaison with auditors across multiple entities within listed REIT structures.

4+ years of relevant experience, CA/CPA or nearing completion, and strong Excel with ERP

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or nearing completion with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Property or real estate exposure is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong technical accounting capability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end to end financial accounting across a large scale property portfolio.
• Perform reconciliations, consolidation entries and financial statement analysis.
• Support month end and year end close in partnership with property managers.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly property performance reviews.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes across the portfolio.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and support audit delivery.
• Liaise with external auditors, advisors and trustees across multiple entities.
• Manage cash flow across complex legal structures and investment vehicles.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and income tax returns.
• Support finance deliverables across listed office and logistics REIT structures.

The role

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join the Sydney based finance team, supporting a high value Australian portfolio and working closely across multiple funds and listed REIT structures.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include:

About you

To be considered for this role, you will ideally be CA or CPA qualified or nearing completion, with 4+ years relevant experience.

Property or real estate exposure is preferred, with strong technical accounting capability and advanced Excel skills.

Experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, Cognos or MRI will be viewed favourably.
