Ubank is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing team in Sydney. You’ll own end-to-end delivery across the stack, from design to production support, shaping scalable services that power customer digital experiences.

Bring 5–8 years of full stack experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Angular. Strong collaboration, security-minded development, and mentoring skills are highly valued in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and evolving scalable applications and services. You'll have end-to-end ownership of your work, from solution design through to deployment and production support.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Building modern web applications using TypeScript, Angular, and Node.js
• Designing and delivering robust, scalable solutions to solve real business and customer problems
• Writing high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code
• Taking ownership of features throughout the entire software development lifecycle
• Improving application architecture, performance, reliability, and security
• Contributing to engineering best practices and standards
• Collaborating closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams
• Mentoring and supporting other engineers to help elevate team capability
• Helping shape technical decisions and continuously improve how we build and deliver software

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• 5-8 years' experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
• Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience building modern front-end applications (Angular experience highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or coaching other engineers
• Understanding of software security principles and secure development practices

Nice to Have

• Experience within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Experience working with AWS services such as: Lambda, EC2, EKS, SQS, RDS
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases
