Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong banking domain knowledge and data-centric solution design.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Engineer with a strong banking background to join our growing delivery team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java-based application development, full-stack engineering, and data-centric solution design. This role requires hands-on experience in data modelling, data engineering, data flows, system integrations, and enterprise-scale application development within the banking sector.

Experience in Treasury, Markets, Payments, Risk, or Capital Markets environments will be highly regarded

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise-grade applications using Java and modern full-stack technologies.
• Build and maintain robust microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Develop responsive front-end applications and user interfaces.
• Ensure high performance, availability, security, and scalability of applications.

Data Engineering & Data Architecture

• Design and implement logical and physical data models.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, data ingestion processes, and data transformation workflows.
• Define and maintain end-to-end data flows across multiple systems and platforms.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and integrity across applications.

Integration & Solution Design

• Design integrations between banking applications, data platforms, and external systems.
• Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams on solution design and implementation.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making.

Banking Domain Delivery

• Deliver technology solutions supporting banking products and business processes.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
