Job summary

Michael Page is seeking aSenior Software Engineer in Melbourne to own end-to-end delivery of full-stack features, shaping architecture and delivering customer-facing applications with TypeScript, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

You will design and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC (SST/Pulumi), contribute to CI/CD, testing, and tooling, and work across greenfield and production systems to improve code quality. Senior engineers provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Experience building full-stack web apps using TypeScript and React.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (SST or Pulumi).
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Prisma ORM and testing (Vitest or Jest).
• Python for automation and CI/CD scripting.
• Strong software engineering practices and full-stack capability.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of full-stack features from design to deployment and support.
• Build customer-facing applications using TypeScript, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Develop secure APIs and backend services powering core platform functionality.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure with IaC (SST/Pulumi) across AWS services.
• Improve engineering productivity via CI/CD pipelines, testing, tooling, and observability.
• Work on greenfield and existing production systems, improving code quality.
• Investigate production issues, participate in on-call, build reliable systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring.
