Job summary

Insignia Financial is seeking two Senior Full Stack Engineers to shape digital experiences used by thousands of customers. You will own solutions from design through production, across React, Node.js and AWS, while modernising how we build, test and deliver software.

This role offers autonomy to influence technical decisions, work with experienced engineers, and deliver meaningful customer outcomes in an AI-enabled development environment.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in web application and API development within a large-scale organisation.
• Hands-on Node.js backend development experience, ideally with Express or NestJS.
• Strong knowledge of single-page applications, state management, responsive design, mobile-first development and accessibility.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API authentication techniques.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, ECS and Secrets Manager.
• Experience with Git, ideally GitHub, and knowledge of GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
• Clear communication, autonomy, critical thinking and a collaborative working style.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy clean, reusable and well-documented software, owning delivery from inception to production.
• Develop single-page applications and embedded React experiences using TypeScript, React and modern state management approaches.
• Build backend services and integrations using Node.js technologies such as Express or NestJS.
• Design and work with REST APIs, authentication patterns and integrations, including Workato as an integration layer.
• Write unit, end-to-end and other required tests, using AI where it can improve speed and quality.
• Improve observability, resilience and production support across existing applications.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows, technical documentation, story grooming and Scrum ceremonies.
• Partner with the Tech Lead, Product Owner, stakeholders and engineers to continuously improve the software development lifecycle.
