Job summary

Vanguard Australia is seeking a highly skilled Full stack Engineer to deliver advanced system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. You will drive backend optimization, data integration, and secure, scalable architecture in a hybrid work model.

You will mentor team members, participate in design reviews, and ensure compliance with IT and security standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system analysis, design, development, and implementation of complex applications and databases, including third-party integrations.
• Translate technical specifications into high-quality, tested code for new builds and enhancements.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability under varying workloads.
• Drive integration of multiple data sources, APIs, and services to improve data flow.
• Develop and maintain backend documentation to support cross-functional understanding.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical upskilling.
