Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team, supporting and enhancing critical business applications in the energy sector. This 12‑month contract role combines hands‑on development with production support across cloud‑native Azure platforms.

You will design and build Node.js (TypeScript) back end services on Azure, maintain React SPAs, and participate in CI/CD pipelines, incident response, and on‑call duties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Senior Application Support Engineer
• Strong background in Azure serverless architectures (Functions, App Services)
• Hands‑on experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD-driven environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability in live production systems

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 production support, including incident, problem, and root-cause analysis
• Perform code‑level fixes and configuration changes through CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in a 24×7 on‑call roster for critical systems
• Design, develop, and maintain Node.js (TypeScript) backend services on Azure
• Maintain and enhance React‑based Single Page Applications
• Support event‑driven and real‑time systems using Azure Service Bus and Web PubSub
• Work with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and Data Factory ETL pipelines
• Support integrations with AEMO APIs, FTP services, and internal platforms
• Contribute to secure, automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve platform stability and performance
