Job summary

Sleek is hiring a Principal Full Stack Engineer in Australia to lead the architectural vision and delivery of complex web apps. You’ll work with autonomy on a modern stack, raising technical standards and embedding AI workflows. You’ll mentor engineers, align with product, design and leadership, and push for scalable, reliable services across the platform.

You will own end-to-end features—from UI to APIs to backend—while championing developer productivity and AI-driven solutions in production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years shipping and running production SaaS.
• Experience with scalable distributed systems, APIs and service boundaries.
• Deep TypeScript/Node.js experience with relational and document databases.
• Full‑stack ownership from schema to API to UI in production.
• Built internal tooling and paved reusable developer workflows.
• Experience in cloud deployment, monitoring, incident response and security.
• Built AI-powered product capabilities in production.
• Mentored and raised peers through standards and practices.
• Thrives in ambiguous environments with proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead full stack architecture and end-to-end delivery of SaaS applications.
• Design APIs, databases, and cloud services that scale with growth.
• Integrate agentic AI capabilities into production software and workflows.
• Improve engineering productivity with harnesses and tooling.
• Mentor engineers and guide architecture reviews to raise code quality.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize backend and data pipelines.
