Job summary

Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in Sydney seeks a Solicitor to join our financial services regulatory team. You will advise local and international clients in the banking, non-bank lending, payments and fintech sectors, applying non-contentious FSR expertise to navigate an evolving regulatory landscape.

The role sits in a close-knit national practice led by senior Partners, delivering market-leading regulatory insights and cross-border capability.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' practicing experience as a Solicitor in a FSR team within private practice, an in-house division or relevant regulatory body.
• Relevant regulatory experience covering payments, financial crime, consumer credit, retail and wholesale banking, prudential regulation including the financial accountability regime and digital assets.

Responsibilities

• Advise local and international clients in the banking, non-bank lending, payments and fintech sectors.
• Provide expertise in non-contentious FSR to help clients navigate regulatory reforms.
• Support the growth and reputation of the practice across Australia and globally.
