Job summary

Luxury Escapes in Sydney is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Engineering team and drive the booking journey improvements with a high-impact React/TypeScript frontend. You will collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to iterate quickly on customer-facing features, implement AI-augmented development flows, and push performance, reliability, and accessibility across our web platform.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building large-scale React applications in production.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with modern frontend practices.
• Experience designing high-performance, responsive UIs and improving frontend reliability.
• Understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and scalable structure.
• Experience writing automated tests and contributing to CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborating with product managers and designers to ship impactful features.
• Familiarity with integrating frontend apps with microservices and REST APIs.
• Comfort using AI-augmented development tools to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality frontend features in our React app to improve the customer journey.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to iterate on booking experiences.
• Design and implement A/B tests and product experiments.
• Use AI-augmented tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Continuously improve frontend performance, accessibility, and user experience.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate frontend with microservice architecture.
• Contribute to engineering best practices including automated testing and delivery.
• Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews and pairing.
