Job summary

Veeam Software is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to own the technical delivery for highly strategic customer accounts. You will drive deployments across hybrid environments, including cloud, on-premises, Kubernetes, containers, and Linux, and design architectures for data, security, and privacy needs.

You will build reusable patterns, tools, and playbooks, work with executives and engineers, and mentor others while delivering practical, scalable AI-enabled solutions across enterprise

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in deeply technical, customer-facing roles.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms.
• Experience deploying across complex cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Strong APIs, data stores, and data integration experience.
• Develop practical technical solutions and reusable workflows.
• AI-native developer tools and automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for the most complex customer accounts from deployment to daily use.
• Lead deployments across hybrid environments including cloud, on-prem, Kubernetes, containers, and Linux.
• Define solution architectures for data, security, and business requirements.
• Adapt platform behavior when configurations don’t match customer needs.
• Build and operate integrations across customer systems and downstream tools.
• Diagnose and resolve deep technical issues across data, deployment, and integration layers.
• Create reusable agents, automations, tools, and playbooks for the FDE team.
• Turn manual outcomes into repeatable workflows for remediation, alerting and reporting.
• Mentor fellow FDEs and partner with Sales Engineering on strategic POCs.
