Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to own the technical delivery for the most complex customer accounts, across deployments from cloud to on‑premises and hybrid environments. You will lead architecture sessions with executives, design scalable data and security solutions, and mentor the FDE team while building reusable patterns and playbooks.

This hands‑on role requires deep technical experience, strong customer presence, and the ability to translate AI, data, and privacy needs

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in deeply technical, customer-facing roles such as forward-deployed engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong APIs, data stores (SQL/NoSQL), and system integration understanding.
• Experience building practical technical solutions, automations, agents, or internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for the most complex customer accounts.
• Lead deployments across hybrid environments (cloud, on-prem, Kubernetes, containers, Linux).
• Define solution architecture for data estates, security needs, and business requirements.
• Adapt platform behavior to match customer data, workflows, or risk models.
• Build and operate integrations across customer systems (identity, SIEM, ITSM, data platforms, APIs).
• Diagnose and resolve deep technical issues across data, deployment, infrastructure, and integration layers.
• Create reusable agents, automations, tools, and playbooks for faster delivery.
• Turn manual customer outcomes into repeatable workflows for remediation and reporting.
• Lead architecture and design sessions with executives, privacy leaders, and engineers.
• Mentor other FDEs by sharing patterns and resolving complex work.
