Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is seeking a Senior Forest and Fire Operations Officer – Training in regional Victoria. You will lead planning, coordination and delivery of training to build technical and operational capability for DEECA staff in forest and fire operations and emergency response.

You’ll mentor teams, coordinate large programs, and support field-based skill development while maintaining safety and quality standards across programs and incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience in Forest and Fire Operations training delivery and program coordination.
• Current accreditation toward Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40122) and experience in competency assessment.
• Experience planning, coordinating and delivering training for field-based or technical roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver training programs for DEECA staff and partners.
• Coach and mentor personnel to build capability in forest, fire, and emergency management.
• Contribute to emergency response readiness and capability building across regions.
