Job summary

Forensicare in Victoria seeks a Senior Psychologist (Grade 3) to join a new regional forensic service. You will perform high-level clinical and forensic assessments, provide court reports, and support cross-disciplinary teams across Ballarat and Clifton Hill.

You will supervise staff and students, manage complex cases, and contribute to risk management in a growing regional program. This role offers a broad impact on recovery and safety within the forensic mental health system.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral qualification in Clinical, Forensic or Clinical Neuropsychology.
• AHPRA Registration with AoPE in Clinical, Clinical Neuropsychology and/or Forensic Psychology.
• At least five years’ experience as a fully registered psychologist.
• Strong knowledge of mental health consumer recovery and forensic settings.
• Experience with forensic assessments and risk assessments for courts.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments and court reports.
• Offer advanced forensic psychological consultations to colleagues and partners.
• Deliver individual and group forensic interventions as appropriate.
• Contribute to consumer risk management plans with the team.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to students and staff.
• Contribute to case management as needed.
