Job summary

Optus seeks a Technical Specialist, Fixed Voice to own operation, maintenance and support of its Fixed Voice network infrastructure. You will work with Ribbon platforms to ensure availability, performance and compliance while helping modernise tooling through observability and automation.

You bring 15+ years in telecoms, deep knowledge of CS2000/C20/SBC, and hands-on experience with SIP, ISUP and OSS tools. The role offers hybrid work with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Fifteen+ years in wireline or Fixed Voice ops across Ribbon/GENBAND.
• Deep knowledge of CS2000, C20 and SBC platforms for call control.
• Skilled with SIP/SS7/ISUP, SIGTRAN, RTP/RTCP protocols.
• Experience with incident management and change governance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Ribbon Fixed Voice nodes and sub-elements.
• Provide Level 2 fault management and ITIL-aligned support.
• Manage escalated faults across Enterprise and Wholesale.
• Perform fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis with fixes.
• Upgrade software, patches and post-change verification.
• Monitor KPIs with Grafana and Kalix; address degradation trends.
