Job summary

Talenza seeks a Principal Technical Specialist to lead a major firewall replacement and upgrade program in Brisbane. You will oversee the deployment, configuration and optimisation of Check Point firewalls, with expert support across Palo Alto, F5 and Cisco routing/switching integration.

You will coordinate design, change plans and testing documentation while advising on security strategy and delivery risk with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls
Strong Palo Alto experience in enterprise environments
Solid Cisco routing/switching background, particularly firewall integration
Experience with AlgoSec or equivalent NSPM tools
Proficiency with SolarWinds or similar monitoring platforms
Strong understanding of ITIL/ServiceNow change and service management
Excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-critical environment

Responsibilities

Integrate firewall solutions with Cisco routing and switching for high availability
Manage firewall rule base optimisation via AlgoSec (NSPM)
Deliver solution designs, ICT change plans, implementation and test documentation
Advise on emerging requirements and firewall/network security strategy
Liaise with vendors, project teams and operations to ensure delivery success
