Job summary

Future Generation Joint Venture - Fgjv is seeking a Senior-Associate Fire Safety Engineer to lead fire safety strategies for major Sydney projects. The role offers hybrid working arrangements, mentoring responsibilities, and a path toward principal-level leadership.

You will collaborate with architects and authorities, perform fire modelling, reporting, and risk assessments, and help shape design decisions across healthcare, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in fire safety engineering within building services or consultancy.
• Proven track record delivering complex fire engineering solutions on large projects.
• Chartered status or eligibility (CPEng/NPER) is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety strategies and performance solutions per NCC and Australian Standards.
• Conduct fire risk assessments, modelling, evacuation analysis, and protection assessments.
• Design active and passive fire protection systems and provide reports for approvals.
• Lead technical reviews, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with MEP teams.
