Job summary

Department of Justice in Perth, Australia is seeking a permanent, full-time Financial Systems Specialist to support, administer and enhance the department's financial systems, reporting platforms and data management processes.

You will enable accurate financial reporting, analysis and business insights through enterprise reporting and BI solutions, and contribute to governance and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience providing technical support to users of financial management systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to present information clearly.
• Ability to build relationships with internal staff, vendors and third parties.
• Experience administering, maintaining and supporting a modern accounting software system in a large organisation.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills related to accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support and administration for financial management systems, reporting platforms and related applications.
• Investigate and resolve complex system, data and reporting issues, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
• Develop, maintain and support financial reports, dashboards and data solutions that support business and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and service providers to deliver system improvements and enhancements.
• Contribute to strong governance, data quality, internal controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
