Job summary

APA is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Group Planning & Reporting team on a permanent full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality financial reporting, insights and analysis to senior leaders, including the CEO and CFO, with ownership of statutory and ASX disclosures.

Reporting to the Finance Reporting Manager, you will partner with groups across the business, drive timely reporting cycles, support audits, and champion governance, controls and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification with experience in financial reporting within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and external reporting requirements for ASX-listed companies.
• Proven ability to analyse complex financial information and present clear insights to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality internal and external financial reporting, including ASX disclosures and board materials.
• Analyse financial performance and key metrics, providing insights to senior leaders including CEO and CFO.
• Support external audits and ensure strong governance, controls and adherence to reporting frameworks.
• Update reporting processes in response to regulatory or strategic changes and drive continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and guide junior accountants across Finance.
