Job summary

Australian Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director of Financial Management to lead the Financial Operations team, overseeing accounts payable/receivable, vendor management and payments.

The role supports flexible work arrangements, including hybrid office/home-based work from Canberra and other departmental offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team across a diverse range of functions to support day-to-day financial operations

• Manage vendor relationships and payment processes
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Oversee system enhancements with the FMIS Services team
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and timely management reporting
