Job summary

Transport for NSW is reshaping how NSW funds and manages its transport network. This role sits in a collaborative finance team supporting the Infrastructure Projects & Engineering portfolio with a Rail Fleet focus, delivering robust budgeting, forecasting and performance insights.

You will identify risks, challenge assumptions and translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for stakeholders, enabling better decision-making across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor qualification in Accounting, Business, Economics or Commerce from an Australian university or equivalent
• Extensive professional experience with CPA Australia/CA ANZ or progressing toward membership
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis in project-based environments

Responsibilities

• Support the Infrastructure Projects & Engineering portfolio with a focus on Rail Fleet
• Deliver financial reporting and insights across CAPEX and OPEX
• Partner with operational leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting and performance
• Identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights for decision-making
