Job summary

SMEC is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Financial Analyst to join the Global Infrastructure + Energy Finance Team. You will partner with Finance leads across the Group to provide financial oversight for the Business Line and lead key finance activities.

Ideal candidates will have a Commerce/Accounting degree, experience in a global organisation, advanced SAP skills, and proficiency in Power BI, with a proven track record of leading forecasting, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Commerce or accounting field required.
• Experience in a global organisation at Group or Regional level across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advanced SAP experience is essential.
• Proven experience managing teams.
• Ability to work independently and set priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration across diverse teams.
• Advanced Power BI proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage detailed and accurate financial data for the Business Line to facilitate timely reporting and enable informed business decisions.
• Contribute to the commercial performance through overview of lock-up management.
• Lead the forecast and budget processes for the Business Line.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support to achieve financial targets through governance and audits.
• Assist with project analysis, including cost data, earned value and scenario analysis.
• Support training for team members on financial systems and tools.
