Job summary

Melbourne Racing Club invites applications for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Department on a full-time basis at Caulfield Racecourse. You will lead PLG's financial reporting, manage core accounting processes and influence budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support informed business decisions.

Reporting to the Finance leadership, you will drive month-end closings, balance sheet reconciliations and policy improvements, while collaborating with venue teams across

Qualifications

• Accounting degree and CPA qualification.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with month-end and GL management.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Hospitality/gaming industry experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end reconciliation and ensure GL balances are accurate.
• Oversee venue and head office adherence to policies and deadlines.
• Review and improve financial policies and PLG processes.
• Coordinate year-end GL finalisation and liaise with auditors.
• Lead month-end closing and 5-day P&L delivery, balance sheet packs within 10 days.
