Job summary

Regis Resources Limited, a leading Australian gold producer, seeks a Senior Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Western Australia. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead the finance team, oversee month-end close, statutory reporting, and JV accounting, while driving continuous improvement.

You will bring a tertiary accounting qualification, CA/CPA, and strong technical accounting, with experience in ASX-listed companies and ERP systems such as Pronto or

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in accounting.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Demonstrated and relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience within an ASX-listed company, preferably in the mining industry.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background.
• Experience in audit, statutory reporting, and corporate compliance.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system skills (Pronto or MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Accountant and Assistant Accountant.
• Maintain integrity of financial systems, accounting processes, and financial records.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and register maintenance.
• Manage month-end close processes, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Supervise joint venture accounting and monthly financial consolidations.
• Provide financial guidance and support to internal stakeholders across the business.
• Coordinate the preparation of monthly management reports.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial information for senior management, finance providers and the Board.
• Ensure statutory reporting obligations are completed accurately and on time (ASX reporting).
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives across finance.
