Job summary

ThompsonCook on the Sunshine Coast seeks a Senior Financial Accountant to join a growing, profitable FMCG business with a strong blue-chip accounting team. The role focuses on month-end close, Group reporting coordination, and ensuring GL integrity.

You will also manage IFRS 16 lease accounting and support business units with financial insights. Ideal candidates have CA/CPA qualifications, robust accounting principles knowledge, and excellent communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA completed at a reputable firm or large corporate
• Understanding of financial accounting principles
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close reporting to Group accounting and reporting teams
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure journal entries comply with policy
• Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements
• Manage lease contracts in line with IFRS 16 standards
• Collaborate with business units and operations to support finance needs
• Identify process improvements and resolve issues with strong process knowledge
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects
